2 Nephi 14:6

Guess what.
I learned something beautiful about deliverance today.
[okay, okay - just cuz I learn something beautiful about deliverance everyday doesn't make it any less exciting]
So I was reading in chapter 14 and the very last verse of the chapter reads:

And there shall be a tabernacle for a shadow in the daytime from the heat, and for a place of arefuge, and a covert from storm and from rain.

Isn't that a beautiful verse?
Whenever I feel the Lord's hand in my life, when I have been delivered out of the bondage of trials and pain, this is exactly how I feel. I feel this divine relief. I feel as if the Lord is blocking the scorching sunlight of whatever I've been going through, and the shade of His deliverance comes over me. His deliverance is like shade on a hot day, like a refuge from the storm.

What does deliverance feel like to you?

  1. Ah this is a great verse. I think this is also about the temple, and my testimony of the temple grew a lot this week. You can find a temple most places you go, and they are a refuge; A deliverance if you will :)
